Phi Chapter was established on May 21, 1908 as the second chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity. It is the oldest continuous chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity and will celebrate its 100th Anniversary next year. March 2007 - The City of Urbana amended its Fire Prevention Code on 3/15/2007! As a result we must install an automatic fire sprinkler system by 3/15/2012 OR we will be forced to vacate the building. The Alumni Board has been monitoring this legislation and will  provide an update in 2008. To raise funds for the sprinkler system the Alumni Association is selling 100th Anniversary Commemorative Bricks (see Alumni Contributors page).
